180 Degree Rule
A 180 Degree Rule is a more complicated piece of media. A character is always surrounded by a 360 degree area, the 180 degree rule applies to half of this. When the character is being filmed, the cameraman can film the character anywhere with a 180 degree region, but if they increase this region by even one degree then they will have broken the rule. For example, if a character is standing is a room then the cameraman can only film them within one half of the room.

Shot/Reverse Shot
A Shot/Reverse Shot is when two characters are together and may be holding a conversation or some form of meeting. During this the camera will constantly switch between each character (for example, when each character is exchanging a piece of dialogue). This means that the audience doess not have to experience the cameraman constantly moving between each character so each shot can imply be edited into place.

The Preliminary Task is to create a 40-60 Second video which will consist of.
- A person entering a room
- They cross the room and sit opposite another person
- They engage in conversation.
This clip must incorporate:
- A Match on Action shot
- A shot/reverse shot
- A 180 Degree Rule shot
This can be done independently or in a pair with another classmate.
This will help my main task because the final task is 10 times longer than the preliminary task so this task will provide me with various shots to use in the final task, therefore aiding me in gaining a higher set of marks.
